Cold Nights

It was a rainy night

Heavy rain is pouring

From someone’s soul window

On a cold night she was looking for a warm cloth

How could she have summer clothes on rainy night?

She roam around, but nothing seems to warm her

When she was about to give up

She saw a small blanket with holes in it

She took it to warm her up

She was thankful to that small blanket

For the warm it gives

The rainy season continues

The small blanket continues to keep her warm

Slowly the holes patched by itself

Keeping her more warm than ever

Time passes rainy season didn’t come to an end

But she didn’t mind

The blanket was there to warm her

In return she patched the remaining holes of the blanket

Days have passed the blanket was turning invisible

She was looking for it for a long time everyday

Why is the blanket always missing?

Where was it placed?

Days passed a greater storm occurred

That moment, the girl needed the blanket

But it was nowhere to be found

Where was it?

The days are getting colder

Nights are getting darker

There was no one to warm her

The was no one to guide her

She looked outside

Looking for a little hope

Maybe a blanket will be there once more

Then she saw another girl

Hugging the blanket that once warm her

It perfectly fits her

Not too big nor small

As if it was meant for her

Water flow continuously from her soul window

Watching the girl get warm

While her heart is getting colder

With her sight getting blurry

How do we survive this rainy night?

Can I endure the cold winds tonight?

Do I need to give a fight?

Or let myself go frozen tonight?

Why did it keep her warm?

If it will give her harm

Why did she fix your broken pieces?

If you will torn her into pieces

Her expectation turns to disappointments

Her warm nights became colder

Her light glitches

Her happy pill, became her suicide pill

It was meant to warm her

With its embrace

But it broke her

With its broken promises
